Tob was a Pureblood Vulpanan werewolf and the member of Clan Benja, the leaders of the House of the Second Moon during the end of Vulpana's Golden Millennium. He was the youngest of Ulla's three sons and had two older brothers, Issak and Jaks. Issak was an alpha and, according to his mother, the most handsome and best groomed of her children. When Tob and his family encountered the Seventh Doctor and his Vulpanan companion Mags, also a Pureblood who turned with the Second Moon, his mother wanted Mags to marry one of her children.
