Ulla was a Pureblood Vulpanan werewolf and the Matriarch of Clan Benja. Her clan led the House of the Second Moon during the end of Vulpana's Golden Millennium. Ulla had three sons, Issak, Jaks and Tob. By Ulla's time, Purebloods were increasingly rare. Because of this, when the family encountered the Seventh Doctor and his Vulpanan companion Mags, also a Pureblood who turned with the Second Moon, she wanted Mags to marry one of her children.
