Gibson's Yard was located in London. In October 1924, it was located near the home of Sir George Harding.

When the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler decided to venture to the British Empire Exhibition, the TARDIS landed in Gibson's Yard. The noise and light of its arrival was noticed by Harding's manservant Peter Dickson, who was outside smoking. Dickson approached the locked-up yard in response to the sound of the TARDIS' engines, but was subsequently attacked by an assailant who wanted to know about Harding's houseguests.

Upon exiting the TARDIS, the Doctor heard the sound of Dickson's struggle against his attacker and quickly soniced open the gate, succeeding in making the assailant flee the scene. The Doctor and Rose helped Dickson back to the Harding house. After staying for a bit, the two returned to Gibson's Yard to find the gate locked up again. The Doctor again unlocked the gate to discover that the TARDIS had been removed from the yard. (PROSE: The Clockwise Man)
