Talk:The Church on Ruby Road (TV story)

Following on from @Najawin's standard, I am opening a discussion here about the thumbnail for this episode.

Only got #1 so far, but it shows off a particularly well composed shot of the titular church whilst also featuring the main antagonists of the story.

These two might work as well. I'm not super thrilled with either, but they're possible. Najawin ☎ 19:46, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
Although these versions are unusable as they're from the trailer, can we get non-watermatked version of File:Next Time The Church on Ruby Road 21.jpg and File:Next Time The Church on Ruby Road 35.jpg? 20:01, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
Four more options to consider. For some reason, whenever I upload images lately, they sometimes get this random glitchy bit on the very bottom that I can't explain. Feel free to replace any that may have them. WaltK ☎ 22:35, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
My vote goes to #4, mostly because I'm a big advocate for thumbnails with more 'daylight' lighting where possible - easier on the eye, especially at a smaller size, compared to dark/murky ones full of shadow, etc. #4 also highlights the slightly fantastical vibe of the episode, and is one of the primary locations for the action. β€” Fractal Doctor @ 22:40, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
Adding File:Next Time The Church on Ruby Road 35.jpg as #8, just so it can be seen properly now β€” but if someone can get an unwatermarked version on the Wiki, that'd be great. 00:11, 27 December 2023 (UTC)

No offense to Epsilon, obviously, but I don't think 1 works at thumbnail scale. Nor does 7 imo. Personally not a fan of 5 or 6. I'd go 4>2>3>8 or something like that. Najawin ☎ 00:22, 27 December 2023 (UTC)

If this has not yet been decided, I'd like to say I think number 3 is superior; failing that, number 4. Wozza123 ☎ 23:13, 28 December 2023 (UTC)

I have added three more screencaps (#9, #10, #11) for consideration. I have also updated #4 (same screencap, much higher resolution). β€” Fractal Doctor @ 21:13, 29 December 2023 (UTC)

I personally think either #4 for ##8, although the latter will need an upgrade. 22:00, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
