The Toymaker conjured a set of juggling balls into existence using his elemental powers. These balls functioned as other balls did; they could be tossed by an individual for their own amusement or entertainment, like with juggling, or used to play a game of catch with.

The Toymaker conjured three of these juggling balls when the Fourteenth Doctor and Donna Noble entered his toy emporium in Soho, 1925. He juggled the balls in his hands while reciting a tale about how the ball and the game of catch was the first game humanity ever created, intercutting each of his sentences by launching a ball at the Doctor and Donna, which the Doctor would catch and discard as the Toymaker conjured a replacement ball, carrying on the tale. By the time he reached the end of his story, he launched a final ball at them, but Donna intercepted and caught it this time. Impressed, the Toymaker dematerialised the balls.

Later, in London 2023 at UNIT HQ, the Toymaker conjured another ball to play a game of catch against the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Doctors at their request. He tossed the ball at the Fourteenth Doctor, able to knock him to the floor, though he caught it and the trio played the game. Eventually, the Fifteenth Doctor tossed the ball so well that the Toymaker failed to catch it, the ball appearing to disappear as the Toymaker lost the game and was banished from existence.
