The Android Maker of Calderon IV was the seventh short story in the Short Trips anthology Short Trips and Side Steps. It was written by Miche Doherty. It featured the Fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

Five years ago, Sarah Jane Smith and the Third Doctor visited Calderon IV and met the android maker, whom they defeated in an hour and a half. The Doctor left a signal device behind in case they were needed again.

The android maker makes a perfect replica of the Doctor. He programs it to murder and replace the Doctor so that it can have an audience with the Presidium and destroy it with an explosive in its head. However, the android is now useless because the Doctor has regenerated.
