Mantissa
Lady Armourer Mantissa was a War-time member of House Mirraflex chiefly remembered for leading the Timebeast Assault. In the lead-up to the War, she was part of the committee who organised the creation of the Nine Homeworlds. She also played a part in setting up research to copy Celestis technology.
Mantissa became fascinated with the City of the Saved during Het Linc's time on the Homeworld, deciding that it occupied the ultimate defensive position. She began working to create secret cells of humans in the City loyal to House Mirraflex. She gained the loyalty of Verrifant, the Lord Mayor of the City of the Saved. In AF 262, Verrifant opened the Uptime Gate to a fleet of timeships led by Mantissa. This attempted invasion failed. Mantissa then went on voluntary exile to one of the Nine Homeworlds.
