Doctor Who[1] was an immersive waxwork exhibit in the Blackpool branch of Madame Tussauds,[2] publicly opened in October 2018,[nb 1] under license from BBC Studios.

In March 2022, the exhibit was given its first and only major update, with the addition of a waxwork of Dan Lewis and a Weeping Angel prop borrowed from the BBC.[6]

Summary

In a gloomy forest, you travel to a set of ruins, passing the the Doctor's sonic screwdriver on a rock. In the main part of the ruins, the TARDIS finishes materialising next to the Thirteenth Doctor, who introduces herself.

In a gloomy forest, you travel to a set of ruins and meet Dan Lewis, before walking over to the Thirteenth Doctor, who is standing next to her TARDIS. But, in the forest, a Weeping Angel stalks its prey...

  • Although most of the details were altered in their transition from screen to a physical set, the forest is the very same forest from TV: Meet the Thirteenth Doctor [+]Loading...["Meet the Thirteenth Doctor (TV story)"], the Thirteenth Doctor's first onscreen appearance outside of TV: Deep Breath [+]Loading...["Deep Breath (TV story)"].

  1. The exact opening date is a matter of contradiction between sources. The official Madame Tussauds website gave the opening date as 16 October 2018,[2] and a Radio Times article released the following day claimed it exhibit was open,[3] while the Still Life feature in DWM 532 claimed that 18 October was the public opening,[4] and DWM 531's instalment of Gallifrey Guardian claimed the exhibit opened on 19 October.[5]
