Just wondering - why does it say that Silurian's red thingy in the forehead is an eye? For me it's more like an augmentation of sorts, they're technologically advanced after all...– The preceding unsigned comment was added by 128.73.22.123 (talk).

Citation needed

The {{fact}} present in the lead demands a source for what I assume is the co-existence of Silurians and Sea Devils. However, were I to put Warriors of the Deep, this would immediately appear to be the source for all those alternative names, when it isn't. Are we to simply put all the necessary sources in the lead? I think this would be best, but perhaps in groups so an not to disrupt the flow. I know it's not convention to source leads, but I certainly think it should be. Hopefully someone can see through all the superflous text here, as I appear to have hidden my own question.--Skittles the hog - talk 22:08, September 14, 2012 (UTC)

I think the citation is required for the fact that the Silurians are from the Silurian period, which is contradicted by most of the other sources and mentioned in the Behind the Scenes section. I'm just going to remove that bit.-<Azes13 ☎ 03:49, September 15, 2012 (UTC)

Non-use of weaponry

Would the armies of Silurians using weapons post-2010 contradict what this page says about them usually not being armed? Or should this be a "Wenley vs. Wales" distinction? -- Tybort (talk page) 22:57, October 2, 2012 (UTC)

Weakness

Land living, she's from the new episodes. She's the new one in the main picture on the Silurian page.

Yes, I know humans can also die from stun guns. However, I figured it would have been on setting that wouldn't be strong enough to kill her which led me to believe they may be more susceptible.

Silurian classes (and Tenth Doctor reference)

It's stated in The Lost Dimension that Vastra's subspecies is the "Scholar class" while the Pertwee era Silurians are the "Warrior class". I understand that "Early" is also a used term in the literature, but considering that the Silurians met by the Third and Fifth Doctors respectively are essentially Warrior class, and the Silurians we see during and after the Eleventh Doctor era are "Scholar class", should we rename the gallery tabs from Eary, Middle and Late, seeing as Early and Middle are the same subspecies. I get that we want to show all of their iterations, but it's best to be accurate.

Furthermore, on a different note, the preview chapters in Frida Kohlo and the Skull Children have the Tenth Doctor stating that humans and Silurians will one day live together in harmony but that specific future date isn't set (i.e. it's in flux). Since that's already been printed, are we allowed to put it on the article, or do we have to wait for the novel in its entirety (since the Tenth Doctor may explain a bit further)?
