The Categories of Life (TV story)[1] was the fifth episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day.

Synopsis

Torchwood goes undercover and discovers the terrible truth behind the Miracle. The enemy is closing in, and death is about to make a shocking return.

Plot

There are new categories in life Category 1 Your basically dead Category 2 YOu have some injuries Category 3 your regular.

Jack tries to bring Oswald Danes to incriminate Phicorp but Oswald decides not to and Jilly Kitinger takes a picture of Jack. Gwen trie sto get her dad out of the camps but causes him to get a heart attack and he becomes category 1. Vera and Esther go undercover at the camp and Rex pretends to be a category 1 to find out what happens to them. Vera finds category one people who are being treated horribly and threatens to expose them. But a man shoots her twice and takes her to a category 1 area and it is revealed these areas are big ovens and Vera is burned alive while Rex manages to get out and forced to watch Vera while he films going to expose these people.
