Dalek Survival Guide
Written in the late 20th or early 21st centuries, the Dalek Survival Guide was a handbook produced to be the most comprehensive guide to the Daleks assembled since Earth was first alerted to their threat with Terry Nation's discovery of the Dalek Chronicles. It was published no more than 50 years after the launch of the first communications satellites and Yuri Gagarin's historic space flight. The guide was collated from a variety of sources including research notes, scientific reports and recently disclosed classified papers. Despite its provenance, the guide also contained large amounts of material from future time periods thanks to the delivery of a battered Gladstone bag which, when emptied, was found to contain many more papers and documents than could have possibly fitted inside.
The "latest reports" cited by the guide related to the "Dalek incursion which began in the Vega System". It was from these reports that the guide was aware of a new, sophisticated breed of Roboman. (PROSE: Dalek Survival Guide)
