The young Prince of Monaco had a governess in 2066.
Along with the Prince, she was kidnapped by Mr Steelman's gynoids, after the car she was in was forced to crash, and taken to an old chateu thirty miles from the coast. However, after an alarm went off indicating there was an intruder in the base, namely Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward, Steelman escaped with the Prince with the intention of ransoming him to his father, leaving the governess restrained. He also ordered that Robot Seven initiate Plan Crash-Dive, which involved crashing an aeroplane into the house, engulfing it in flames. The governess was found just in time by Lady Penelope, who rescued her using the scent syphon, which contained a special anti-fire liquid. They then followed Steelman's trail through a secret tunnel and pursued him in FAB 1 towards Monte Carlo, watching as his car drove off a cliff and into the sea. Before Lady Penelope investigated further, she returned the governess to the palace. (COMIC: The Great Silver Robbery!)

The covers of Lady Penelope occasionally featured scenes from the comic stories within and, as such, the governess features on the cover of LP 26. The cover photograph is taken from the Thunderbirds episode The Duchess Assignment and the governess is "played" by the Duchess of Royston from that episode, who she has clearly been drawn to resemble.
