Mason Hotel was a 1962 film for which Michael Brookhaven served, uncredited, as supervising producer.
When it was "remade" in 1998, Brookhaven once again served as the uncredited supervising producer. In this instance, Brookhaven sacrificed the reputations of everyone attached to the original 1998 "remake" in order to provide Alfred Hitchcock a finished script for the movie in 1962. In the real world, Psycho, an acclaimed Alfred Hitchcock slasher film set in the Bates Motel and released in 1960, was remade in 1998. The remake was a commercial and critical failure.
