Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]

Lord Varliss is in control of Earth after leaving swathes of it in frozen time and holding most of UNIT in prison camps, including Josh and Jimmy, but Kate is leading a resistance movement and the captive Osgood refuses to give him any information on getting into the Black Archive. Kate, Harry, Naomi and postman Bert infiltrate a Vulpreen base where Super Arches which allow for transportation without a receiving arch are being made and plant a bomb.

Harry and Naomi meet up with Osgood and they liberate Josh and Jimmy and the other prisoners before going to remove the frozen time that Varliss has put in place to trap Kate. Once they are successful, Jimmy is recaptured and Josh gets away from the base with Kate, whom he informs of Varliss's alliance with Missy. Osgood freezes Harry and Naomi to protect them from the bomb and Varliss takes her and Jimmy with him to the Tower of London using the Super Arch's field, allowing Kate one minor victory.

The bomb detonates and destroys the base, after which Kate, initially believing that her friends have been killed, learns that Osgood and Jimmy have survived and goes to rescue them.
