Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Early life[[edit] | [edit source]]

Luke Sullieman was born on Chasca Major and never went off-world, meaning that he was used to cities. (AUDIO: Animal Instinct)

As a student[[edit] | [edit source]]

Wanting to be an archaeologist, he studied archaeology at university and was taught by visiting professor River Song. (AUDIO: Animal Instinct) He was interested in Old Earth, but never studied Christmas. (AUDIO: Carnival of Angels)

For his final exam before graduation, Luke went with River to break into the tomb of a Chasca Minorian sun god whom they discovered was the Master, who initially assumed that Luke was the Doctor. He was left behind to distract security whilst River and the Master escaped to the Condor and later joined them in travelling to Chasca Minor to recover the Master's TARDIS and see the Great Ziggurat. He briefly became a Therian thanks to the ziggurat, but was restored by River using the Master's capacitor and they returned to Chasca Major having given the Therians the freedom to choose if they would like to do the same.

On the return journey from Chasca Minor, River told Luke that he had passed his exam with flying colours. (AUDIO: Animal Instinct) He graduated with a first, which River would later joke that she gave in "a moment of weakness". (AUDIO: Carnival of Angels)

Post-graduation[[edit] | [edit source]]

Luke and River. (AUDIO: Carnival of Angels)

Luke wanted to see Old Earth and joined River in travelling to 1938 New York City to find the source of the temporal instability there. He investigated Marty Stone's token when he hired River to solve his own murder and met Dean Cray and Quirke, who invited him to join her freakshow after the Therian within him briefly emerged. He helped convince Dean to betray Quirke and help him and River defeat the Host, after which River sent the two of them away in her shuttle to find Dean's people or return to Chasca Major. Luke agreed to go, but asked River to search him out once she had stopped the Weeping Angels. (AUDIO: Carnival of Angels)

Personality[[edit] | [edit source]]

Luke preferred learning from books until his adventure on Chasca Minor opened his eyes to adventure. (AUDIO: Animal Instinct) River described him as wonderful and blundering and told Marty Stone that he was a "pussycat" when one came to know him. He was close to River, whom he said would always be his professor. (AUDIO: Carnival of Angels)

Appearance[[edit] | [edit source]]

Luke was blond. (AUDIO: Carnival of Angels) He wore a shirt, a tweed outfit and a deerstalker during his final exam. (AUDIO: Animal Instinct)
