Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

Benny finds several excerpts of novels that seem to be based on her life with Jason and Adrian. She confronts Braxiatel, accusing him of manipulating her into writing the novel now that she has found the fragments. He as usual refuses to give her a direct answer.

Brax thinks that Benny needs to get off world for a break, and suggests she accompany the students on their next excursion.

She discovers that he is actually reading the novel, and asks him if it has a happy ending. He doesn't know, because he hasn't finished it yet.
