Albert Sullivan

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Albert Sullivan was the husband of Athena James and the great-grandfather of Harry Sullivan.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

In the late 19th century, Albert served as a surgeon aboard a ship in the Royal Navy, as was tradition in his family. He held the rank of lieutenant.

Athena's father, Odysseus James, initially disapproved of Albert but his attitude gradually changed. Just before his death in 1887, he gave his daughter his blessing.

Albert and Athena were engaged to be married shortly thereafter. He was introduced to the Fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith by Athena, who invited the time travellers to their wedding.

Sarah thought it would be very amusing to inform Harry that they had attended his great-grandparents' wedding. (COMIC: Gaze of the Medusa)

Harry bore a striking family resemblance to Albert and also continued the family tradition by serving as a Royal Navy surgeon himself in the later 20th century. (TV: Robot, et al.)
