Danny Hargreaves
Danny Hargreaves is a special effects supervisor. He has worked extensively on Doctor Who beginning with the first Russell T Davies era, and also The Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood. He is a frequent interviewee on Doctor Who Confidential and Torchwood Declassified. He was even one of the rare backstage people to appear on Totally Doctor Who. As a result of these appearances, he has become the de facto "public face" of Doctor Who SFX.
His personal credits have largely vanished in the Steven Moffat era, but by the 2022 Centenary Special The Power of the Doctor, his company, Real SFX, was very much still involved in the process of making Doctor Who, and also worked on Class. In 2023, he was again credited as SFX supervisor at the start of the second Russell T Davies era.
Other projects he worked on included Wizards vs. Aliens (created by Davies and Phil Ford), Cucumber (by Davies) and Sherlock (created by Mark Gatiss and Moffat).
