Deep Space Nine (DS9) was a television series (PROSE: Autumn Mist) that aired prior to Sam Jones' home time of 1997. (PROSE: The Eight Doctors et al.)
"Changelings" were involved in the show. Sam noted that she did not see much of the show because her dad was always watching the news. (PROSE: Autumn Mist)

- What appears to be Sisko's Creole Kitchen is seen as ...isko's in photograph in COMIC: Assimilation².
- Quark is a main character from Deep Space Nine who is mentioned by Hobo Kostinen in PROSE: The Arcade of Doom. However, he believes Quark it from Star Trek Discovery.
- Dark Space 8 from AUDIO: Bang-Bang-a-Boom! is a pastiche of Deep Space 9, the titular space station of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

- Star Trek: Deep Space Nine is the full name of the series, but like Enterprise, it has not been properly identified as a Star Trek series in Doctor Who media.
- Alexander Siddig, Nana Visitor, John de Lancie, Daphne Ashbrook, Steven Berkoff, Amy Benedict, Bari Hochwald, Van Epperson and Chase Masterson appeared on the series.
- Tony Dow directed the Deep Space Nine episode "Field of Fire" while Siddig directed "Business as Usual" and "Profit and Lace".
- In 2013, four months before IDW lost the comic right to Doctor Who, Tony Lee was asked to pitch a sequel to COMIC: Assimilation²; his eight-part pitch was titled Star Trek: Deep Space Nine/Doctor Who: Domination. The comic would have featured the Eleventh Doctor and Clara Oswald teaming up with the season five Deep Space Nine crew, as well as that of Enterprise, against a Sontaran Battle Fleet that ended up in the Alpha Quadrant and joined forces with the Jem'Hadar.[1]
