The Historic Preservation Society was the euphemistic name of the government of the planet Gendar.
For most of Gendar's history, it was headed on and off by Virtuoso, who posed as a Gendar but was actually an exiled Firmament working for the Goddess. (PROSE: The Gendar Conspiracy)
