In a Barque on the River Hex was the sixth release in the The Minister of Chance series. It was written by Dan Freeman and featured Julian Wadham as the Second Minister of Chance, Lauren Crace as Kitty, Jenny Agutter as Professor Cantha and Sylvester McCoy as Persidian III, the former Witch Prime.
