Johnny Repford
Johnny Repford worked at Archaeotech.

In the 1970s, Repford served as the operator of the Ex-Cav suit at the Archaeotech operation at Dunstanton Lake and was charged with connecting the access tunnel between the diving lift and the spacecraft on the lakebed. When he did this for the Third Doctor and Jo Grant, the suit briefly malfunctioned as Defence Advocate 997 was taking it over.
Repford experienced further trouble with the suit and could not help Jo and Freda Mattingly to escape, being frozen in one place. The Doctor put the suit into standby using his sonic screwdriver and had more oxygen brought to him. The Defence Advocate then took over the suit and, after killing Paul Pennard, took the Revival Key and awoke the Dastrons.
The suit expelled Repford below water as he tried to shut it down, but Jo was able to get him to the surface by sharing her oxygen with him. Upon returning to the surface, he and Freda agreed that UNIT should destroy the ship with the Doctor and Mike Yates aboard in order to stop the Dastrons from destroying Earth, but this proved not to be necessary.
