Loose Ends 7: The Weeping Angels was the seventh instalment of Loose Ends published in Doctor Who Magazine #608 on 12 September 2024 by Panini Magazines. It was written by Jonathan Morris and illustrated by Roger Langridge.

As Martha Jones celebrates stopping the Red Hatching, the Tenth Doctor files through a folder given to him in the street by Sally Sparrow. He asks Martha if she fancies visiting 1969, explaining that according to the folder, the woman they just bumped into will need their help in defeating the Weeping Angels in the past. Instead of explaining, he adds that she can just read all the information herself. The Doctor summarises that after being sent back in time, they simply need to find "a fella called Billy", help him get into publishing, record an Easter egg, put it on 19 DVDs, and install a DVD player in the TARDIS to get it to work. When Martha questions the message to Sally written under the wallpaper, the Doctor adds that they will also need to visit Wester Drumlins when it gets redecorated and bribe the decorators. Martha is incredulous that "a pretty girl" could just run up to them in the street and give them detailed instructions on how to defeat some monsters, claiming it to be the "easiest adventure ever!".

A nightwatchman from Liberty Island explains that he has been working there for twenty years but has never before seen what happened last night: when he turned away from Lady Liberty for just a second, she had disappeared and moved into the Hudson River, halfway to Manhattan. When he went to look for his co-worker, Ted, the statue had again moved to Battery Park. However, in the blink of an eye, it was back to normal. Ted, equally baffled, agreed with him that they would never speak of this again.

The Eleventh Doctor eventually discovered that that which holds the image of an Angel becomes itself an Angel, but the Tenth Doctor did not know this when Sally Sparrow gave him the folder of information, including a photograph of a Weeping Angel. Raising the question of when and where it could have materialised, the author argues that it could have been the one that sent Amy Pond and Rory Williams back in time, as all the other angels in Manhattan were erased from time, and this remaining one would appear near the TARDIS, bent on revenge - potentially confusing Amy and Rory for Sally Sparrow and Larry Nightingale.
