"Stevens" (Desert Drama)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

An actor played a character named Stevens in a film which also starred Paul Carson and Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward.

When Lady Penelope went to the London Hilton Hotel to confront Carson about not attending preliminary script discussions, he was rehearsing for the film with the actor playing Stevens. She knocked on the door of the penthouse suite and Carson answered, telling her she would have to wait because he had some "unfinished business" to attend to. Then, she and Parker heard three shots ring out from inside. They opened the door and found "Stevens" motionless on the ground and Carson standing over the body with a smoking gun in his hand. Penelope accused him of being a murderer but Carson calmly explained that he was told to do it and that it was in the script, while "Stevens" got to his feet. Sure enough, the script featured a scene where Carson's character Imlac took out Stevens as he was "in the way". Penelope proceeded with telling Carson off for being absent from the cast meetings at which time he angrily asked her to leave because he did not like to be interrupted.

Ultimately, however, Carson was killed in a car crash while trying to protect his secret of being a Bereznik spy, leading to the cancellation of the film as there was no point in continuing without the leading star. (COMIC: Desert Drama)
