The Eighth Doctor had a simply-furnished office during his short time as the owner of the St Louis Bar and Restaurant. It was located on the second floor of the building. The office had a desk with a small metal sign that read "Doctor John Smith". The Doctor kept his TARDIS in a corner of the room.
On 8 February 2001, the Doctor brought Anji Kapoor and Fitz Kreiner into his office after the bar closed so that they could continue talking. The next day, the Doctor took a train from London to Brussels with Fitz and Anji, never to return to the St Louis again. When the Doctor and Anji became stuck on a crashing Kulan ship, the TARDIS dematerialised from the office to the ship to rescue them. (PROSE: Escape Velocity)
