The Invisible Man was a novel by H. G. Wells.

When he met the Sixth Doctor, he used kontron crystals to alter time slightly, so that his image would lag behind his physical self by a few seconds. This gave the illusion of invisibility. (TV: Timelash)

• Vincent Price played Geoffrey Radcliffe in the 1940 film The Invisible Man Returns.
• In the 1958 TV version, Deborah Watling and Lisa Daniely were both regulars. Robert Beatty voiced the Invisible Man in the unaired pilot episode, while Ian Stuart Black contributed several scripts.
