Attending a lecture about the eleven-sided power source known as the Golden Hendechahedron, Iris attempted to warn Zelopan that - because of the temporal residue on her and her companions - that the Hendechahedron would be unstable. The Hendecahedron overpowered and ended up blasting Iris, pinching her timeline and splitting her into two distinct versions; one that progressed through future incarnations and one that regressed through former incarnations. Wanting to gain access to the Celestial Omnibus, the shape-shifting Zelopan knocked out the younger Iris and took her form. Holding the older Iris and Panda at gun-point, Zelopan attempted to convince Tom that he was the true Iris - but he was exposed when the younger Iris awoke and removed the device that he had used to mimic her form.
