West Berlin

West Berlin was the West German half of Berlin created by the separation of Germany following World War II. During the Cold War, a barrier known as the Berlin Wall separated West Berlin from East Berlin and East Germany as a whole. In 1965, Group Captain Ian Gilmore, Professor Rachel Jensen and Sir Toby Kinsella visited both West Berlin and East Berlin to investigate reports of UFO sightings and smuggled footage of an alien making contact with Soviet agents. West Berlin ceased to exist when democratic uprisings in the Eastern Bloc countries resulted in the fall of the Berlin Wall on 9 November 1989 as well as the reunification of Germany.
