In 1711, Cary's rebellion occurred in North Carolina.

The TARDIS brought the Thirteenth Doctor, Ryan Sinclair, Graham O'Brien, and Yasmin Khan to North Carolina at around this time. The Doctor's companions were familiar with the impending conflict after learning about it from the Hidden Human History podcast, and they began to ponder if the TARDIS was intentionally bringing them to times and places covered on the show (having just visited the Guelders wars, also a subject on the series). Like at their previous location, the group found that the area was being plagued by Stilean flesh eaters. (COMIC: Hidden Human History)
