50 Thunderbirds 3D Painting Sets Must Be Won! was a competition printed in TV Century 21. Although the prize was unrelated to the Doctor Who universe, it heavily involved the Daleks.

The competition was started in TV21 102 where the rules and prizes were outlined. For a chance of winning, readers had to complete a picture crossword printed on the page and send it to the stated address along with a list of the six features in the magazine they liked best in order of preference as well as the name of their favourite current television programme. The closing date was 5 January 1967. It was stated that the entries would then be put together with the entrants of the first fifty correct solutions selected at random being declared the winners.

The winners were rewarded with a Thunderbirds 3D Painting Set each, described as comprising of realistic Thunderbird pictures to paint plus ten poster colours, a paintbrush and a frame. The product was made by Century 21 Toys Ltd. and TV21 stated it was otherwise on sale at all leading stores and retail for a price of 14/11d. It does not appear as if the names of the winners or the correct solution were ever printed in the magazine.
