At 15:47 in the afternoon, the World Government craft F116 smashes the Cosmic barrier while on a test flight above the Nevada Desert, recording a speed well over seven thousand miles per hour and ushering in a new age for air travel. An official communique is later issued, stating that the F116 would undergo more trials before going into service for the World Army-Airforce.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Zero X commander Paul Travers has decided to take the ship back to the so-called planet of bones, Verspona, in order to investigate a series of mysteries that had arisen during their first visit.
Elsewhere, Simon Templar uncovers gun runners in the West Indies while investigating leads suggesting an arms sell out to an enemy state.
