70 Virginis b was a colony planet with an orbiting space station, Dunlop Station.

In 2133, the Eleventh Doctor and Rory Williams briefly visited Dunlop Station while attempting to get back to London, 1814, to retrieve Amy. (COMIC: The Doctor and the Nurse)

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

In the real world, 70 Virginis b is a gas giant about 7.5 times the mass of Jupiter. Discovered in 1996, it orbits 70 Virginis, one of the first stars confirmed to have planets in orbit.

At the time The Doctor and the Nurse was published, 70 Virginis b was believed to be within the star system's habitable zone, like Earth, and so was nicknamed "Goldilocks". Later discoveries about the planet's orbit disproved this.
