- The Master manipulates Jo into thinking he is Jo's uncle, who got her hired at UNIT. (AUDIO: Storm of the Horofax, Taken For Granted)
- The Master mocks Jo by saying that the Doctor never came back for her after he left. Unbeknownst to her, the Tenth Doctor would secretly visit and observe some of her adventures shortly before his regeneration into his eleventh incarnation, and she would finally encounter the Eleventh Doctor with Sarah Jane Smith at the Doctor's funeral.
