Administrative Council
The Administrative Council was the discussion body of the crew of the New Hope.

In the early 22nd century, shortly after the launch of the New Hope from Earth, the Administrative Council discussed the matter of what form society on the colony ship's destination, a planet in the Centraxis system, would take. The majority of the Council voted for an agricultural civilisation, rather than the highly advanced civilisation that Earth had become at the time of the ship's journey. As a result, the crew of the New Hope firmly sealed the blueprints and materials of technology that they had brought with them within the chambers of the New Hope, and established an agricultural colony on the planet they colonised, which they named Agora.
However, a small part of the Administrative Council were against the idea of eschewing the advanced technology of Earth, and so, following the establishment of Agora, flew the New Hope away from the planet and established a significantly more technologically-advanced civilisation elsewhere: New Earth.
