Amy Pond and Rory Williams' house (The God Complex)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Amy Pond and Rory Williams' house was in London, bought by the Eleventh Doctor for his companions, to keep them safe from his adventures. (TV: The God Complex) At the door, the number 6 was visible. (TV: The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe)

History[[edit] | edit source]

Every Christmas, Amy and Rory made sure there was a place at their table for their son-in-law. On Christmas Day, approximately two years after he left them behind, the Doctor joined them for Christmas dinner. (TV: The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe)

The Doctor stayed in contact with Rory and Amy, often leaving messages or stopping by. The Doctor once visited them in the middle of the night, having accidentally landed too far in their past while seeking their help. He wished them good night and left. At another time, the Doctor accidentally left an Ood with them. They uncomfortably let it act as their butler until the Doctor returned and took it back to Ood Sphere. (WC: Pond Life) Amy and Rory later attempted to have another child only to discover that Amy's experience on Demons Run had left her unable to conceive. In a misguided attempt to make Rory, who had always wanted children, happy, (TV: Asylum of the Daleks) Amy divorced Rory, kicking him out. (WC: Pond Life)

After their adventure at the Dalek Asylum, Amy and Rory reconciled, being dropped off at their house by the Doctor. (TV: Asylum of the Daleks)

When Brian Williams was visiting his son and daughter-in-law, the Doctor materialised around the three. After the adventure had led to Brian becoming more appreciative of travelling, he toured the Earth, sending various postcards back to Amy and Rory. (TV: Dinosaurs on a Spaceship)

When the Year of the Slow Invasion began, the Doctor and Brian moved into the house to monitor the cubes. After four days, the Doctor began going stir crazy, (TV: The Power of Three) doing various odd jobs around the house to keep himself occupied. During this time, the portal of Leon Perkins appeared to the Doctor but as his back was turned, he failed to notice. (COMIC: The Road To...)

Upon learning that all his activities had amounted to barely an hour, the Doctor left the house, promising to return if he anything changed with regard to the cubes. The Doctor eventually returned in 2013 for Amy and Rory's wedding anniversary. Though intending for it to just be one trip, Amy and Rory were in fact gone seven weeks, even though they were returned only seconds after they left. Admitting that he missed being with Amy and Rory, the Doctor spent the next month in the house whereupon the cubes, one year after they'd appeared, activated and the Shakri were discovered as the architects of the invasion. After the Shakri were defeated, the Doctor returned the Ponds to their home. After staying for dinner, he intended to resume his travels alone only for Brian to convince Amy and Rory to rejoin him. The Doctor offered Brian a spot only for him to remain behind to tend to the house, asking only that Amy and Rory be safely returned. (TV: The Power of Three)

A week after Amy and Rory's departure from the house, Brian was tending to the house while feeling lonely. However, after he heard a knock from the door, he received a letter from Rory, delivered by Anthony Williams, wherein it was explained that while he and Amy were trapped in the past, he wanted to say farewell to Brian and to explain that Anthony was his grandson. After Brian finished reading the letter in the living room, he returned to the hallway and embraced Anthony. (WC: P.S.) Brian would continue to look after the house in case if Amy and Rory ever returned. (PROSE: The Time Lord Letters)

Several letters from the Doctor to Amy and Rory were eventually recovered and compiled into a larger work. (PROSE: The Time Lord Letters)
