Anko was a child who was scolded by his "mommy", who used the Daleks to threaten him into behaving, claiming that they were "horrible monsters" who punished "naughty little boys" by eating them up. When Anko asked what a Dalek looked like, his mother replied "Oh, that was all centuries ago... I don't know what they look like!"
This was witnessed by Glax, owner of the Galactic Glax Picture Corporation movie studio, who was inspired to make a film about the Daleks who attacked Anhaut centuries before. (COMIC: The Return of the Daleks)
