Arborecc
Arborecc was a temporal scientist in the 41st century.

Arborecc invented the time machine which the Space Security Service used for the temporal witness protection program. (AUDIO: The House of Kingdom) After the machine was destroyed when its time bubble was intercepted by a Dalek, (AUDIO: The Wrong Woman) the Tenth Doctor went in search of Arboecc, accompanied by Anya Kingdom and Mark Seven, in hopes of him providing another way for the Doctor to return to the post-Time War timeline. After discovering he had been in contact with ALARC, (AUDIO: Cycle of Destruction) the Doctor, Anya and Mark traced him to Beltros Station. Arborecc was working on Major McLinn’s project to mutate wounded soldiers into fake Daleks. Arboecc built a time engine to accelerate the mutation process, however was mutated himself during a test. Making the best of a bad situation in his view, McLinn had the mutated Arborecc placed in one of reconstructed Dalek casings.
When the Doctor began investigating the facility, McLinn caught him and had Arborecc guard him. The Doctor mentioning his name caused Arborecc to begin to remember his former identity and the Doctor confirmed this by opening his casing. Arborecc became distressed and begged for his pain to end, so McLinn shot him upon discovering what the Doctor had done. (AUDIO: The Trojan Dalek)
