Beachelguese was a planet home to the oldest beach in the universe. At one point in history, it was home to a civilisation.
Aeons after the civilisation ended, the Twelfth Doctor visited the planet with Clara Oswald. A Macra, a Silurian, and a Sea Devil were also at the beach on that day, and had been since the morning. They told the Doctor and Clara that they had been there first, so the Doctor and Clara went to Beachelguese at the dawn of time, making them the first people to be there. (COMIC: Surfshock)
