Aaron Blinovitch was a Russian temporal physicist on Earth and the author of the book Temporal Mechanics. The Blinovitch Limitation Effect was named for him.

The Third Doctor described him as "a great bear of a man from Russia". When last he heard of him, Blinovitch had been caught in one of his own time experiments. He was regressed to a baby. The Doctor mentioned him alongside a Chinese temporal scientist, Chun Sen, and an unnamed South American scientist as "dabblers" in time-travel on Earth. He conceived of the Blinovitch Limitation Effect in 1928 while in the Reading Room of the British Museum. (PROSE: The Ghosts of N-Space)
