Boris Fyodorovich Godunov

Boris Fyodorovich Godunov was a Russian monarch, Tsar of All Rus, in the 17th century.

He came to power during the troubled times when there was no clear heir to the throne from the ruling dynasty. According to Oksana, his reign saw several disastrous events such as famine, war with Poland and uprising in the south.

In 1605, the alien-influenced Grishka, who claimed to be the rightful heir to the throne Dimitry Ivanovich, visited his bed chambers and choked him to death without touching his body. Oksana witnessed his death and run screaming. Upon seeing the body of Boris Godunov, Ninth Doctor remarked that he looks "nothing like his paintings". (AUDIO: The False Dimitry)
