Brian was a commentator for a cricket match with Digger Wells when the Fifth Doctor's TARDIS materialised during the 1981 Ashes series. The two men were unfazed, with Brian calmly stating, "The Doctor's here." They allowed the Doctor to remain in the commentary box with them for the duration of the match.
