Bryant Anderson

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Bryant Anderson was a human scientist who was believed to have lived sometime during the founding of the First Great and Bountiful Human Empire.

Anderson's research of the Dalek race had led him to conclude that the Daleks were descended from the human race, their humanoid ancestors having been transplanted onto the planet Ameron by the Halldon. Believing that his species was not ready for this knowledge, he hid himself on the planet Ollendorf 2, dissecting a deceased Dalek mutant to confirm his theory. When Joel Kendon discovered Anderson, the scientist told him of his findings before both were exterminated. (PROSE: We are the Daleks!) The Bryant Anderson Report was recorded in the Dalek Survival Guide as the basis of Terry Nation's essay We are the Daleks. (PROSE: Dalek Survival Guide)

Later scientists and historians were unable to contradict or deny Anderson's finding. While some chalked up his theories as one of the creation myths other races sometimes formulated about the Daleks, others believed that Daleks really might have come to be on Ameron, or that the Daleks of Skaro might themselves have been the result of proto-humans being transplanted to Skaro in ages past, implying parallel evolution had occurred.
