Captain Grey was the codename of Brad Holden. He was a member of Spectrum, (PROSE: Letters Special [+]Loading...["Letters Special (short story)"]) Earth's primary defence against the Mysterons during the Mysteron War. (COMIC: Traitor Black Gives In! [+]Loading...["Traitor Black Gives In! (comic story)"], PROSE: They Watch the World [+]Loading...["They Watch the World (short story)"] et al.) Holden previously served in the World Aquanaut Security Patrol and was the first commander of Stingray. (PROSE: Letters Special [+]Loading...["Letters Special (short story)"]) Various accounts dated these events to either the 2060s (COMIC: SPECTRUM [+]Loading...["SPECTRUM (comic story)"] et al.) or the 2080s. At some point, Holden joined the World Aquanaut Security Patrol. He was the first captain of Stingray and served alongside his navigator Bill Portreeve for five years. According to one account, Portreeve transferred to WASP in 2078, commencing duty soon after. (PROSE: Letters Special [+]Loading...["Letters Special (short story)"]) Holden was eventually replaced as the captain of Stingray by Troy Tempest. Holden later joined Spectrum, becoming Captain Grey. (PROSE: Letters Special [+]Loading...["Letters Special (short story)"]) In 2069, Grey and Captain Blue were in charge of security operations for the opening of London's rebuilt Car-Vu, which was to be attended by the World President.
