Alongside Michaela Traken and Nigel Voord-Karabraxos, Chris Akhaten was one of the three regular presenters of the TV series Fanwatch, devoted to the observation of the appearance and behaviours of Doctor Who fans in much the same way as one might observe the life and habits of birds. - Chris Akhaten was obviously named in reference to Akhaten, from The Rings of Akhaten [+]Loading...["The Rings of Akhaten (TV story)"], although, especially considering that Fanwatch takes place in a universe where Doctor Who is not shown to be anything more than fiction, it's hard to say there may be some in-universe connection between the two within the context of Fanwatch.
- The name also appears to be a play on Springwatch presenter Chris Packham.
