Clangers is a children's puppet television series created by Oliver Postgate which originally ran on BBC1 from 16 November 196910 October 1974, and later ran on CBeebies and Sprout from 15 June 2015 – present.

The series principally stars the titular Clangers, primarily including Major Clanger, Mother Clanger, Small Clanger, and Tiny Clanger, along with other characters such as Soup Dragon.

The series crossed over with the Doctor Who universe through the merchandise range DoppelClangers, which featured merchandise depicting Clangers dressed as a variety of celebrities and characters, including the Fourth Doctor. A short promotional video was released to promote this range.

The Secret Diary of the Master [+]Loading...["The Secret Diary of the Master (short story)"] later expanded upon the scene, with the Master writing in his diary about "a documentary on a rather interesting extra-terrestrial life-form known as ‘Clangers’"
