Cray was a planet which was twinned with Earth for publicity reasons in the 25th century. This caused embarrassment on Earth because of Cray's poor reputation and its ongoing civil war.
A rev was a measurement of time on Cray. It was equivalent to approximately 40 Earth minutes.
