A creature that resembled a semi-transparent gas attacked the Ninth Doctor and Ikalla on the planet Parvanna. It was mainly focused on Ikalla due to the temperate of her blood being cold enough for it. The Doctor kept it at bay by setting his sonic stake on fire, which caused it to flee.
