Dalek (The Lights of Skaro)
This Skaro City Dalek was one of the combatants of the Thal-Dalek battle.

The Dalek was one of the ones assigned to the Master Room of the Dalek City. (AUDIO: The Lights of Skaro) When the Thals ambushed the room in the Thal-Dalek battle, the Dalek was, like the rest of its kind, rendered offline when the static electricity feed was destroyed. (TV: The Daleks)
Following Ace incorrectly using an omega device to time lock Skaro, several travellers became trapped in the Dalek City, inadvertently reactivating its power systems. When Bernice Summerfield ventured into the Master Room, the Dalek briefly reactivated and told Bernice about the past of the Daleks following the Thousand Year War and how "the stranger" had destroyed their lifestyle before it shut down again.
When Vince Foster and Varna entered the city, they came across the Dalek, creating a closed static electricity loop that slowly restored the casing's functionality just as Bernice returned. As she attempted to deter the two away from the Dalek, even showing Varna the true form of the Dalek mutant, Foster spoke to it about its species' future conquests and proposed an alliance. Insulted, the Dalek exterminated the man before it turned on Varna, offended by the Kaled's belief that it was a servant. When Bernice Summerfield accurately deduced that the Dalek had only done so out of jealousy for the Kaled not needing a casing, the Dalek commanded her to leave the area.
Once its casing was fully restored, the Dalek returned to the Master Room, where Ace was now imprisoned, and began restoring power to the city, reactivating the plan to flood the atmosphere with radiation. When the Seventh Doctor and Bernice arrived, they used the omega device to open a time corridor to the Dalek's future, summoning a future version of itself from a time where the Daleks had conquered the universe. Confused by galactic conquest, the Dalek inquired if it would ever leave its casing. Learning that it would not, the Dalek started a firefight with its future self, creating a paradox that restored the time stream. One of the Daleks living in the City when they believed themselves the only life in the universe, this Dalek had a less aggressive mindset than most Daleks across space/time. It dedicated itself to a Dalek version of peace, wishing to restore Skaro to a habitable status and seeing the deaths of the Thals as a necessary sacrifice to ensure the survival of the Daleks and peace on Skaro. Despite this, it retained the typical Dalek racism towards all other life forms, being insulted at the idea that the Thals had created it and exterminating a Kaled for thinking herself the Daleks' superior.
Extremely atypically, the Dalek had no interest in conquest, openly questioning its future self about the point of such an endeavour.
The Dalek's most prominent character trait was its desire to one day leave its casing. When confronted by a future version of itself who had proudly remained in its casing for thousands of centuries, it went mad, opening fire on its counterpart. (AUDIO: The Lights of Skaro)
