Dalek (The Monster in the Woods)

A Dalek from the 22nd century crash-landed in New Alverton in 1913, where he was found 60 years later by two children named Ange and Terry Barnes who named him "Starman". On Halloween, Ange and Terry introduced their younger brother, Ian, to Starman who decided to hold the young child hostage until Ange and Terry brought him what he demanded.

Once Ange and Terry had brought Starman what he required, he sent out a signal that was intercepted by the Third Doctor who was brought to him by the Barnes children. The Doctor and Jo Grant brought the Dalek to UNIT HQ which he attempted to destroy by activating his self-destruct mechanism. The Doctor stopped the explosion by throwing a device dubbed the "Time Fridge", which also had its polarity reversed, into the Dalek's casing. The intense heat that the Time Fridge produced melted the Dalek's heart, killing him. (PROSE: The Monster in the Woods)
