Daphne S was a human colonist on Terra Alpha.

Daphne S (TV: The Happiness Patrol [+]Loading...["The Happiness Patrol (TV story)"]) lived on Terra Alpha with her husband and son during Helen A's rule. She remained strong for the sake of her son after her husband was taken away by the Happiness Patrol, but became suicidal after her son was taken as well. Walking around the city at night, Daphne S was approached by Silas P as she sat on a bench and told him that she might be interested in going to a place to indulge in misery, (TV: The Happiness Patrol [+]Loading...["The Happiness Patrol (TV story)"]) planning on joining the killjoys to avenge her family. (PROSE: The Happiness Patrol [+]Loading...["The Happiness Patrol (novelisation)"]) He handed her his card which revealed that he worked for the Happiness Patrol, after which Daisy K shot her.

Daphne S was forced to audition for the Happiness Patrol at the Forum and was executed when she failed to impress. When a member of the Happiness Patrol painted "RIP" over her poster, the Forum doorman remarked that she must not have gone down too well. Daphne S refused to give in to depression following the disappearance of her husband, but felt that she had nothing left to live for when her son vanished as well. Despite this, she did not admit to herself that she was a killjoy even as she decided to join them to get revenge against the Happiness Patrol.
